Responsibilities

HazTek is seeking an experienced Safety Professional to support a project in Marrietta, PA. This role will be responsible for helping implement and manage site-specific health and safety requirements while working closely with project teams, contractors, and subcontractors in an active industrial/pharmaceutical environment.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor contractor and subcontractor work activities to ensure safe work practices and compliance
  • Support contractor onboarding, orientation, and safety training requirements
  • Review project-specific safety plans and assist with contractor safety prequalification
  • Conduct field observations, inspections, audits, and safety performance reviews
  • Participate in incident investigations and root cause analysis
  • Ensure compliance with site safety programs including permit-to-work, lockout/tagout, confined space entry, crane and hoist activities, electrical safety, working at heights, PPE, hazardous materials, fire/life safety, and emergency response
  • Document non-conformance issues and help drive corrective actions
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and project-specific safety requirements

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5+ years of construction safety experience required
  • OSHA 30 and 510 certification required
  • First Aid/CPR certified
  • Strong knowledge of construction safety standards
  • Must have experience in Fall Protection, Scaffolding, Steel Erection, and Excavation
  • Excellent verbal and written skills
